Japan Rescued Animal Has 72 Hours Before Killled......Misleading Info

I am sure by now many of you watched the video of 2 poor dogs survived quake and tsunami. You may also probably have heard or read about Japan's policy of killing unclaimed animals after 72 hours. Well, don't worry. Japan isn't a cruel country as some people who are spreading false rumor and lie try to make you think as such. Japan has a new policy after Kobe quake in 1995, which went into effect very very quickly only a day or two after the quake. All animals rescued from disaster like this one will not be killed after 72 hours. They all will be kept alive and healthy until they are claimed by the owners or put on adoption.




For your information, Japan isn't the only country that has the policy to kill unclaimed animals in animal shelter after 72 hours. In the U.S., we also have the similar policy. Each state may different period of time. California, for example, has the policy to kill unclaimed animals after 72 hours just like in Japan. The purpose of this policy is, since each shelter has very limited room to accommodate, they need to make room for new animals coming in everyday. I believe we can't blame this policy. It is very unrealistic to accommodate unlimited number of animals. What to blame is the animal owners. If irresponsible owners don't throw their animals away in the first place, these poor animals would be in the animal shelter in the first place.

Push CLEAR button at gas station

I did not know about the clear button, but I will be pushing the clear button before I swipe my gas or debit card and after just to be safe.


People are getting really desperate due to the constantly rising gas prices and the economy.

A friend just told me about something that happened to one of his coworkers. She used her credit/debit card to purchase gas at the pump (like most of us do). She received her receipt like normal. However, when she checked her statement, there were 2 $50.00 charges added in addition to her purchase. Upon investigation, she found out that because she did not press the 'clear' button on the pump, the employee inside the store was able to use her card to purchase his/her own gas!

To keep this from happening, after you get your receipt, you must press the 'CLEAR' button or your information will be stored until the next customer inserts their card.

Be sure to tell all your friends/family so that this doesn't happen to them. I had never noticed the clear button but I got gas the other day and sure enough it is there. I shall be using it from now on.

Received my new Social Security Card

I received my "clean" Social Security Card in the mail today. Unlike the old one, it doesn't have any restriction on it. And, of course, my social security number is still the same.

Applied New Social Security Card

I went to my local Social Security Administration office at Riverside, CA today to apply my new social security card. As you can seen below, my old SSN card has a restriction that states "VALID FOR WORK ONLY WITH DHS AUTHORIZATION". Now that I have a Green Card, I don't need any authorization to work. Even though it is not necessary, I want to have this removed from my card.

The whole process at Social Security Administration office was easy and fast. It took only 10 minutes. I only need to show my SSN card, green card, and completed SS-5 form. At the end, they kept my SSN card. I was told I am going to get a new SSN card in 7 to 10 days.

I Finally Got my Green Card Approval.

Woohoo!!!! I finally got my Green Card Approval today!!!! I don't have the actual card yet, I received an email notice that my Adjustment of Status just got approved today. It took me about 2 years and a lot of money. It was a long and frustrating journey. Finally my journey ended happily today.

Starting a business in Las Vegas

At this point, I can't really tell much detail, but my family and I are getting ready to start our new business in Las Vegas. Bad economy is a great opportunity. Now is the great opportunity to start a new business. We are currently in process for borrowing money from the bank around $2 million. 2 days ago, we drove to Vegas to initiate the negotiation of warehouse we need to purchase. Since property owner has not been able to sell this property for over 2 years, I hope he is desperate enough, so we can bring down the price to our target.

As we make a progress, I'll post undated info here.

Commission Junction account terminated

I am so pissed off!!! My Commission Junction (CJ) account got terminated recently. For those who doesn't know CJ, it is one of major affiliate networks. You sign up, choose an adviser or product, place a banner/link on your website, then you earn a commission once you have a lead/sale. Anyway, I didn't do anything to break their Term of Use. All of sedden, they just terminated my account without any reason. I tried to contact so many times to find why. All they tell me is their Terms of Use, which you have to agree when you sign up, states CJ has the right terminate any account for any reason. I repeatedly asked them to reinstate my account but so far unsuccessful. I still have the commission I earned in my account. I wonder if they are still going to pay me.

I already filed a complaint with BBB. As expected, since BBB is practically useless, it didn't help my at all. CJ did replay to my complaint. They stated that I used some "illegal" software to generate leads and I provided false information. Of course that is total BS. Even though the money they owe me is a small amount, I am not going to stop at BBB. This is no longer about the money for me. Next is I am going to try California Attorney General.

After I quickly searched via google, I found other people who had similar experience with CJ in the last few months. In 2007, CJ faced class action lawsuit for shady business practices like cover up and possible commission thief. If there are enough people, I am considering of new lawsuit.

Received replacement hard drives

What a surprise. I just received my replacement hard drives in only 1 day. No, WD didn't ship via overnight. It was shipped via UPS Ground. It was sent from Riverside, CA, which is about 40 minutes from my home. And there is one more surprise. What WD sent me was not 2 150GB Raptors. They sent me 2 300GB VelociRaptor WD3000HLFS!!!! It is like I got free upgrade. My 300GB RAID-0 just became 600GB and faster:-)

WD tech support

I was not expecing any thing good from any tech support these days, but supprisingly I had quite a good experience. They accepted my advanced RMA without asking too many question or telling me to try this and try that. They only asked the serial numbers, reason: broken hard drive, and credit card number. My credit card will be charged if I don't return broken hard drive to them in 30 days. I was told my replacement hard drives will be shipped today and I'll receive it in 3 to 5 business days. Hopefully I receive them by this Friday. I want to reinstall everything over the weekend.

Broken Raptor Hard Drives

My desktop has been acting quite weird for about a week. Sudden BSOD, freeze, and massive performance drop. Took me a while to find out the problem. The problem was I have 2 hard drives that are about to die. My hard drive configuration is Intel ICH9R Raid 0 with 2x WD 150GB Raptor (WD1500AHFD) hard drives. I wasted so many hours hours of my time checking motherboard and testing overclocked CPU, RAM, and GPU. Since I striped the hard drives I didn't get any warning from SMART. I run WD diagnostic tool Lifeguard on both hard drives. Both of them failed. I got error code: 0007 and code: 0101 on one drive. The other drive is no longer recognizable. What are the odds of getting 2 hard drives failing nearly at the same time...

I am going to call WD tech in the morning to get RMA. Glad it comes with 5 year warranty.


Bought new Lexus LS460L and Infiniti QX56

We just came home with our new Lexus LS460L. I also bought new 2011 Infiniti QX56.

That's right, just bought 2 new cars!!! Weeeee!!!!
